second leg at Brum was one of the most frustrating games i've ever seen! They brought on Zigic at half time? and just lumped the ball into him - we had no idea how to deal with it.
schoolboy stuff.

Buster

I think the revelation from grant after the Birmingham second leg of 'not knowing What to say to the players at half time' may have had something to do with it

That and dyer failing miserably with his one chance of redemption during extra time

Didn't we also have a goal disallowed? Was that Spector also? Maybe it was Obinna...

tbh I feared the worst with the line-up and I think Tomkins cleared one off the line after 5mins.

Great night.

Dyer missed an opportunity on the line in the semi final. Hit it over. I think it was his last touch for the club also.

A magical night. Almost as good as it's ever been. Spector was like Messi that night. Carlton scored two lovely goals, Obinna was excellent, we took the piss.....

When Carlton scored that screamer at St. Andrew's in the next round to put us 3-1 up, I stupidly had hope.....

Great night, bloody freezing.
I remember a superb photo of Fergie looking miserable in his wolly hat, big red nose and snow coming down.
